Let Your Pet Hang Out at Home
Your pet may love taking rides with you, but you shouldn't leave them sitting in your car in the summer. Leaving them at home is the safest option. It only takes half an hour for the interior of a car or truck to climb to 120° when the outside temperature is 85°. Parking in a shaded spot and cracking the windows doesn’t provide any real benefit. Leaving the vehicle running with the air conditioner switched on isn't a safe idea, either. If you cannot comfortably hold your hand on it for at least ten seconds, your pet cannot safely walk on it.
